My career path into PLMR was certainly not straightforward. I was recruited due to my sector expertise, and when I joined the company as a senior person in 2019, my background came from a range of fields, but I had no previous agency or communications-specific experience. At the time, I wasn’t even entirely sure what a consultancy role entailed.
Since I found my feet, I’ve loved every minute of it. PLMR gave me the ability to make the role my own. I learned how to combine my education interests and long-held love of finding creative ways to tackle challenges with developing new specialisms in reputation management, public affairs, and media relations to support a sector I care deeply about.
Our clients come from such a wide array of organisations, and I love how the way we work with them means we get to know and understand them and their organisations, making us part of many teams.
I love PLMR because no two days are the same. The range of work is stimulating, engaging, and interesting, and we have quite a good knack of hiring people who are just genuinely great to work with and really know their stuff.
