Ben is a Senior Account Manager in PLMR’s Public Affairs team working across a range of policy areas including health, education and charity campaigns. Ben advises clients on political strategy, stakeholder engagement and political messaging. He also oversees many of PLMR’s events and client events including our presence at Labour Party Conference. Ben has worked on campaigns securing Government support for British Sign Language, advancing cardiovascular research and improving access to work experience for young people.
Before joining PLMR in 2021, Ben was a Sabbatical Officer at Oxford University Student Union where he led the SU’s response to Coronavirus and represented the University’s 24,000 students to University leaders and the local community. He delivered the student engagement for the University’s Environmental Sustainability Strategy and worked on the SU’s student mental health campaign. Ben was previously an intern in the External Relations team at social work charity Frontline.
Ben studied Geography at the University of Oxford and wrote his dissertation on London’s city park music festivals and their community engagement. He also studied urban geography, transport, and European politics. During his time at University Ben led student fundraising group Oxford RAG organising a range of events and challenges for charity. He is a keen runner and hockey player and his favourite band is Elbow.
