Sara leads PLMR’s PR and Corporate Communications team. She is an experienced and highly capable communications professional.
Sara was recognised at the 2025 PRWeek People and Places Awards, winning consultant of the year in the corporate agency category.
In her role at PLMR, Sara leads international and award-winning communications campaigns. Sara is also a reputation management expert, navigating clients through sensitive and complicated communications challenges. Her experience includes international conflicts, data breaches, negative regulator feedback, and employee dismissals.
Between 2022 – 2024, Sara was the elected Chair of the Global Communications Alliance, a network of like-minded independent agencies around the world. In this role, she worked to improve information sharing and skills development of communications professionals across the world.
As Board Director, Sara has developed PLMR’s diversity, equity & inclusion programme, ensuring that it reaches all parts of our business including, work experience and internships, recruitment and our staff experience.
Previously, Sara was the Grassroots Coordinator at youth democracy organisation Bite The Ballot, working on their 2015 General Election campaign to encourage young and marginalised voters to register to vote. During the campaign her role included liaising with local government, MPs, press and other interested parties to further the campaign’s aims.
Sara graduated in 2012 from Durham University with a BA(Hons) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics.
