PLMR Group Ltd has reached its highest ever position on the list of the world’s top PR companies after a year of record revenue.

The communications firm, headquartered in London with regional offices in the Midlands, East of England and Scotland, is now ranked 183rd in the Global Top 250 PR Agency Rankings, produced by PRovoke Media, climbing 16 places.

Only 27 UK-based agencies reported higher revenues than PLMR Group in 2022. Overall PLMR achieved 33% growth year on year from 2021 to 2022, achieving US$11.03m revenue last year.

The latest rise up the rankings follows a busy year for PLMR Group when organic growth achieved across public affairs, PR, reputation management and digital in key sectors ranging from health and social care, education, energy and sustainability, transport, life sciences, built environment and technology combined with the acquisition of Healthcomms Consulting.

The news follows PLMR’s shortlisting as the EMEA Public Affairs Agency of the Year this year – a title the Group won in 2022.

Ollie Lane, Managing Director of PLMR Group Ltd, said:

“We continue to rise in the world rankings thanks to our successful strategy of providing top-quality communications services to clients across a diverse range of sectors with clear specialisms and an extremely strong regional offer, bolstered by acquisitions of high-class agencies who can really add to our already strong offer.

“Achieving growth allows us to deliver on providing industry-leading training, developing careers, growing the team, and contributing to society through charitable giving, with 5% of our net profits each year since we were founded in 2006 going to good causes.”

PLMR Group Ltd is the co-founder and lead partner of the Global Communications Alliance (GCA), a network of 17 international independent communications agencies across the world, giving clients access to local expertise from trusted partners around the globe. The annual GCA Conference is to be held in Edinburgh from 22nd to 24th May.

Total 2022 global revenue of the three GCA member agencies in the Top 250 comes to US$27.42m, which would place the GCA at 107th in the world. Leading German agency navos recorded US$9.52m of revenue and Belgian firm Whyte Corporate Affairs achieved US$6.86m.
