Another year of above-industry average growth has seen PLMR reach its highest ever position on the list of the world’s top PR companies.

The communications firm, headquartered in London with regional offices in the Midlands, East of England and Scotland, is now inside the top 200 of the Global Top 250 PR Agency Rankings, produced by PRovoke Media, climbing eight places to 199th in the world.

Only 30 UK-based agencies reported higher revenues than PLMR in 2021. Overall PLMR achieved 16% growth year on year from 2020 to 2021, achieving US$9.22m revenue last year. This exceeded the global average of 11% since last year. PLMR’s revenue growth since 2019 is 31%.

The latest rise up the rankings follows a busy year for PLMR when organic growth achieved across public affairs, PR, reputation management and digital in key sectors ranging from health and social care, education, energy and sustainability, transport, life sciences, built environment and technology combined with the acquisitions of two outstanding regional PR agencies. Genesis PR, based in Ipswich, and Advent Communications PR, which joined PLMR in the autumn.

The news follows PLMR’s shortlisting as the EMEA Public Affairs Agency of the Year, with the winner due to be announced by PRovoke Media at the end of this month.

Ollie Lane, Managing Director of PLMR Ltd, said:

“Our latest rise up the global rankings underlines the success of our strategy – providing high-quality communications services to clients across a diverse range of sectors with clear specialisms and an extremely strong regional offer.

“The last two years of the pandemic have presented unique challenges but our brilliant team has risen to the challenge and continued to deliver communications consultancy of the highest quality.

“Of course, achieving growth is not just about reaching a higher rank in a league table. It also lets us do lots of really important things – so, continuing to invest in industry-leading training, developing careers, growing the team, and contributing to society through charitable giving, for example our recent £10,000 donation to the Holocaust Educational Trust.”

PLMR is the founder and lead partner of the Global Communications Alliance, a network of international independent communications agencies across the world, giving clients access to local expertise from trusted partners around the globe.
