Gavin is a strategic adviser to the PLMR board. Widely recognised as one of the UK’s leading public affairs and corporate communications professionals, he served for more than a decade as a senior official in the UK House of Commons before spending the past two decades leading some of Britain’s most high-profile communications agencies.
Over the years he has worked with many high-profile UK and multinational firms, particularly those facing regulatory or political challenges. His clients have included EDF Energy, Network Rail, China General Nuclear, RSA Group, Siemens Energy, Kraft Foods / Mondelez, Crossrail, Mott MacDonald, Arla Foods and the London 2012 Olympics.
As Chief Executive of MHP Communications and then Newgate he laid the foundations for two of the UK’s most successful current communications consultancies. In 2018 he founded the strategic comms advisory firm Park Street Partners in 2018, where he continues to support senior executive teams across the private, public and third sectors.
Gavin is a former board member of the PRCA. He was awarded an MBA in 2004. He has three grown-up daughters and lives in Rye, East Sussex.
