Emma is a Senior Associate Director at PLMR – providing reputation management, public affairs and media relations advice to clients across a range of sectors. She also leads the PLMR Scotland office, specialising in supporting clients to navigate the unique political and media environment.
Emma’s work encompasses the health and social care, energy and sustainability, food and drink, and charity sectors. Most recently, this work has included securing over £2million pounds of Scottish Government Covid-19 funding for the bingo industry; launching the UK’s leading social supermarket in Scotland for the first time – securing Ministerial support and helping the client navigate a new regulatory environment; and steering an international charity through a controversial strategic change programme that ran across all four administrations in the UK. She also regularly supports clients to navigate political and media crises ranging from regulatory judgements, coroner inquests and investigative journalism.
In 2020, Emma was named on the PR Week 30 under 30 list, which recognises the best young talent working in Public Relations in the UK. She also won the Crisis and Issues Management award at the 2020 PRCA Awards, and was a finalist in the Young Communicator of the Year category.
