How to successfully land women’s health messages

Women’s health has never been more visible in politics, the media, and among advocates in charities, industry and the system. But, with a variety of issues affecting women solely or disproportionately, visibility across the women’s health landscape is uneven. Some issues receive sustained attention, while others remain poorly understood, underfunded or politically peripheral, and we still struggle as a system to understand women’s health holistically rather than through specific, time or event-based milestones.

At a critical point for the Government and its commitment to improving women’s health outcomes, this panel discussion will explore how greater awareness can be translated into meaningful action. Bringing together expertise from politics, journalism, and health communications, the discussion will examine how to land messages successfully, to turn visibility into lasting change and ensure women’s health remains a priority across policy, media, and public discourse.

The event will begin and end with informal networking, with an expert panel discussion featuring:

Sara Bristow, Managing Director, PLMR Healthcomms

Rosie Taylor, award-winning freelance journalist specialising in women’s health reporting

Michelle Welsh MP, Labour MP for Sherwood Forest and newly appointed National Maternity Advisor to the Government
