The Situation

Xyla is an established market leader which offers the NHS, local authorities and specialist providers to deliver healthcare. It offers services both in and out of hospital settings, from community-based programmes designed to improve health and wellbeing to conveniently located centres for diagnostics and scheduled appointments.

PLMR Genesis was approached with a brief to increase brand awareness, develop strategic messaging and promote Xyla as the UK’s first fully integrated healthcare solution through media relations and marketing activity.

What we did

We worked with Xyla to identify their core messaging, market positioning and target audiences to develop a communications strategy.

We supported the Xyla Elective Care marketing team by producing research-led case studies, thought leadership articles and a catalogue of blog and website content.

Using NHS RTT data, we also produced regular insights and tailored these for Xyla to use across its social media channels.

Winter is one of the toughest periods for the healthcare sector. Our team developed an extensive Winter Pressures communications plan with outputs including case studies and animation briefing support to increase awareness of Xyla and the support it can offer the NHS during such a critical time.

The team also supported Xyla with PR and marketing through its recent rebrand where five areas of Xyla’s wider business came together to become the UK’s first fully integrated healthcare solution. This includes developing PR for targeted trade media.

The Result

Xyla has been celebrated as the largest provider of the NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme (NDPP) across the UK and has been invited to present at numerous events and expos across the country.

Last winter Xyla was successful in helping 52 Trusts and 4 ICSs across the country with its capacity solutions.

The PR strategy and media outputs provided to Xyla earlier this year helped with a smooth transition during the rebrand.
