Suffolk Community Foundation is part of a network of 47 Community Foundations across the UK, dedicated to supporting local and grassroots charities and organisations by providing grants. With detailed insights into local needs, the Foundation allocates resources on a postcode basis.
Suffolk Community Foundation required event management and PR support for their Annual Review event to ensure the night ran smoothly and to highlight the achievements and impact of their work over the last year to supporters and other key stakeholders in the community.
With the team’s extensive experience managing large scale events, PLMR Genesis worked closely with the Foundation to identify the objectives and desired outcomes. The team organised the event end-to-end from the venue logistics, check-in process, name badges, running order, refreshments, AV liaison, branding, speaker briefings, photography, videography and the event slide deck. A detailed time plan was developed to ensure all aspects of the event were considered and prepared on time. Held at Trinity Park, the Annual Review event was attended by over 250 people and included the High Sheriff Awards.
Using our local media contacts and relationships, we secured prominent coverage on BBC Suffolk, in the EADT and on Suffolk Sounds, who dedicated their breakfast show to the event – profiling the High Sheriff award–winning charities as well as speaking to the Suffolk Community Foundation CEO, Trustees and the High Sheriff. This exposure increased awareness of the Foundation and positive sentiments towards their brand. The event itself was deemed a huge success on the night and the Foundation was very pleased with our support.
PLMR’s crisis communications experience is second to none, and includes pre-emptive and reactive work across traditional and social media channels. We work with a range of organisations to offer critical communication support when they are faced with difficult and challenging scenarios.
