The Situation

Over the last two years, PLMR has provided PR and stakeholder engagement services for the Major Trauma Group – a coalition of lawyers and medical professionals who support victims of serious trauma. The Group was seeking to raise the profile of the coalition and its Chair, as experts in musculoskeletal rehabilitation.

What we did

Since launching the Group at the end of 2020, PLMR has achieved over 200 pieces of coverage on topics from improving rehabilitation services, to road safety issues such changing legislation around smart motorways. We have created media moments to allow us to speak with expertise on priority topics, such as collating data from Freedom of Information requests sent to all Ambulance Trusts to provide a never seen before insight into e-scooter trials. ​

Our stakeholder engagement work has also built charitable relationships to help soften the Group’s corporate image, launching a motorcycle safety campaign in partnership with the British Biker Relief Foundation, and facilitated a roundtable for experts in rehabilitation to find better pathways to collaboration. ​

The Result

As a result of our work to date, PLMR has created a strong media profile and network of supporters for the Group and this exposure has led to the Group’s Chair having a positive working relationship with the Department for Transport to help develop road safety policies and built relationships other key NHS and charitable targets. ​
