The Situation

The East of England Ambulance Service (EEAS) provides 24 hour accident and emergency services and has a very busy press office team fielding up to 100 media enquiries every week.

Due to illness and internal pressures, there was a need for interim media relations management for one month, to support the EEAS press office team.

What we did

After a short and intensive briefing session two media relations specialists took responsibility for managing the daily incoming enquiries for information from local, regional and national media providing a fast and efficient turnaround of press statements.

The Result

We came up to speed extremely quickly, sourced accurate and appropriate information for inclusion in press statements, turned around approvals within hours and professionally handled the serious and sensitive information involved.
