PLMR’s founder and chief executive Kevin Craig has shared his outlook for the communications industry in 2026. Reflecting on the year gone by, Kevin said that while economic uncertainty continues to present challenges across the sector, firms that remain forward-looking and decisive will be best placed to succeed.
“I am always more optimistic,” he said. “It is the only way to prosper in this industry. Good companies that can take decisions and look ahead will flourish, but those that are average will struggle in such competitive and challenging economic times.”
Looking ahead to the year, Kevin said PLMR’s focus will be on continuing the agency’s growth and building on its recently achieved B Corp certification.
His ambitions for 2026 include further expanding the business alongside colleagues across the group, exploring at least one additional acquisition opportunity, and using PLMR’s B Corp status to create further value for staff, clients and the wider community.
Kevin also highlighted the growing role of artificial intelligence within the communications sector, predicting it will become increasingly embedded in everyday agency operations.
“It will transform how we do new business,” he said. “It will become even more deeply embedded in our daily processes and will allow less of us to do more.”
Alongside professional ambitions, Kevin said his personal goals for the year centre on maintaining perspective and focusing on family.
“Personally, I want to be kind and patient, to look forward not back, and to be a good dad,” he said.
