PLMR worked alongside BGCI to ensure their newest report received worldwide recognition. ‘The State of the World’s Trees’ was a landmark piece of research, bringing together the expertise and insight of more than 60 institutions and 500 experts worldwide. The report found that more than 30% of the World’s tree species face extinction and outlined steps which policymakers, businesses and individuals could take to mitigate this.
To support the launch, PLMR distilled the reports complex scientific findings into a compelling press release, using case studies and bringing out local stories, advised on additional media and social media collateral, and designed a targeted media stakeholder list across print and broadcast. To complement this, PLMR convened and secured attendance to a press conference on the day prior to the report’s launch to ensure that media organisations had the opportunity to ask any clarification questions they needed.
