PLMR Head of Public Affairs, Simon Darby, announced as PRCA Consultant of the Year

Simon Darby

Director - Head of Public Affairs

PLMR’s Head of Public Affairs, Simon Darby, has been recognised as the 2022 Public Affairs Consultant of the Year at this year’s PRCA Public Affairs Awards.

The award – one of the most prestigious in the industry – comes as a result of Simon’s superb leadership of PLMR’s public affairs practice. 2022 has seen record growth for the practice and has seen Simon and his team deliver critical results for clients across a range of sectors, delivering change and creating real benefits for organisations.

Judges recognised Simon’s contribution both as a strategic adviser to clients and also as a leader within PLMR, working to support, mentor and develop colleagues as they develop their careers.

The news caps an exceptional 2022 for PLMR’s public affairs practice which was awarded EMEA Public Affairs Agency of the Year at the PRovoke SABRE Awards earlier in the year.

Ollie Lane, PLMR’s Managing Director, commented:

“We are all thrilled for Simon – he is without question one of the leading public affairs professionals of his generation. His interest, care and desire to succeed for his clients represents the standard everyone should aspire to and he is a hugely valued mentor to colleagues across the business.”

Simon Darby, PLMR’s Head of Public Affairs, commented:

“I am genuinely very humbled to be recognised as the 2022 Public Affairs Consultant of the Year. I always feel fortunate to be able to work with a such wonderful and diverse range of clients and some of the best colleagues around – and look forward to our public affairs practice going from strength to strength into 2023.”
