PLMR has climbed in to the top 15 of UK agencies for public affairs after a year of record-breaking revenue.
The communications firm, headquartered in London with regional offices in the Midlands, East of England and Scotland, recorded overall UK revenue of £6.83 million last year – its strongest performance yet and up 17% on its 2020 figure. This follows 12% year-on-year growth from 2019 to 2020 – a year when more than half of PR Week’s Top 150 recorded dips in revenue.
This latest increase means PLMR is now the 15th biggest agency in the UK for public affairs, 29th in PR Week’s healthcare table, 35th in the rankings of independent UK agencies, and 56th overall.
The agency’s continuing strong revenues have been built on excellent client delivery across communications services – public affairs, PR, reputation management and digital – in sectors including health and social care, education, energy and sustainability, transport, life sciences, built environment and technology. PLMR Group also completed two important acquisitions in late 2021,in the shape of Genesis PR, in the East of England, and Advent Communications PR, in West Midlands. Both have already added considerably to the strong offer PLMR makes to clients.
Ollie Lane, Managing Director of PLMR Ltd, said:
“PLMR’s strong revenues are down to a fantastic team of hard-working and talented consultants who provide the very best consultancy to clients and know their sectors inside out.
“We are very well set up to make 2022 another hugely successful year in which we continue both to do great work for clients and to make a genuine, tangible difference for our people and for the charitable causes we support.”
