Genesis has become a member of the UK Lobbying Register (UKLR), operated by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR). The register recognises organisations and individuals who have significant experience in public affairs and lobbying, and who abide by a strict code of conduct through their professionalism, transparency and ethical standards.
For over ten years Genesis has supported trade bodies, charities, manufacturers and professional service companies in lobbying central UK government departments, ministers and parliamentarians, as well as key influencers at local government level. With our knowledge and experience, we understand how government and policy decision-making works.
Penny Arbuthnot, a director at Genesis, says: “Our public affairs work helps clients to promote their agenda with national policy makers, build stakeholder relationships and create a climate for change. We work at both a strategic and practical level, developing the strategy and then implementing the tactics to influence policy-makers and change political outcomes.”
Paul Rose, CEO of UK trade body OFTEC, speaking about Genesis’ public affairs expertise, says: “Genesis has been pivotal in achieving our communications and lobbying objectives, and instrumental in securing a brighter future for the industry. Without their highly proactive approach, we would not be where we are now.”
Genesis’ public affairs work has been recognised at regional and national level, winning Gold at the CIPR PRIde Awards for East Anglia, Thames & Chiltern and in 2019 as a national finalist in the CIPR’s Excellence Awards for Best Public Affairs Campaign.
