The Week Ahead in Holyrood - 06/03/2017

On Tuesday there will be a Scottish Government Debate on International Women’s Day. This will be followed Members’ Business, sponsored by Scottish Labour MSP Alex Rowley, which will focus on Local Government Finance and the State of the Debt.

On Wednesday, Portfolio Questions will focus on Education and Skills. There will also be a Scottish Labour Party debate on Education. This will be followed by Members’ Business, sponsored by SNP MSP Linda Fabiani, and focussing on Marie Curie’s Great Daffodil Appeal which is now in its 31st year and runs throughout March 2017. It raises money to support Marie Curie services throughout Scotland.

Thursday’s General Questions will be followed by First Minister’s Questions. Scottish Conservatives MSP Adam Tomkins will then lead Members’ Business by addressing Community Jobs Scotland – a scheme which helps vulnerable young people enter the workforce. This will be followed by two Scottish Government debates, the first of which will centre on the Local Government Finance (Scotland) Order 2017 and the second will discuss Biodiversity in Scotland.
