PLMR APPOINTS SIMON DARBY TO SENIOR TEAM

PLMR appoints Simon Darby to senior team

Building on a strong start to 2017 for PLMR, we are pleased to announce that Simon Darby has joined our team from WA (formerly Westminster Advisers).

Simon joins us with a wealth of experience gained over seven years in the public affairs industry, where he has developed a track-record of delivering successful public affairs and communications programmes for a range of organisations.

Simon has worked extensively across a variety of sectors, including housing & regeneration, consumer affairs and tax & employee benefits, helping clients to navigate complex policy and regulatory issues to achieve their commercial objectives.

During his career to date, Simon has led successful campaigns including securing protection for specific tax reliefs for employees; strengthening redress for consumers in relation to their energy suppliers; and building support among policymakers for innovative approaches to housing-led regeneration.

In addition to contributing to award-winning work at a national level, Simon has also helped organisations to understand and engage with policymakers and stakeholders at a devolved and local level, notably across London government.

Simon joins PLMR as a Senior Account Director, where he will head-up one of our core consultancy teams and provide additional expertise across the business.

PLMR’s Managing Director, Elin de Zoete said:

“As PLMR continues to grow, we are always looking to find talented consultants who share our ethos, to join our team.  Simon was a standout candidate and he will bring valuable experience and insight to our clients.  We are so pleased to have him on board.”

Speaking today, new Senior Account Director at PLMR, Simon Darby, added:

“I’m hugely excited to be joining PLMR at a time when the political environment is so fast-moving and changeable. PLMR is an agency with a reputation for delivering the highest quality of work for clients and I look forward to contributing to its ongoing success”.
