Having identified a Conservative manifesto committee to launch ‘Family Hubs’ across England, PLMR began engagement with political stakeholders to ensure that parenting support was a key piece of the puzzle for Family Hubs delivery.
Through a range of stakeholder engagement activities, including with officials, policy advisors and special advisers in the Department for Education and HM Treasury, frequent engagement with influential backbench MPs such as Andrea Leadsom, Miriam Cates and Tim Loughton, we continued to build support for evidence-based parenting programmes.
In the lead up to the 2021 Comprehensive Spending Review, we secured support from influential MPs to submit a funding application directly to the Chancellor.
As part of a large package of support for Family Hubs announced in the Chancellor’s 2021 Comprehensive Spending Review, £50m for parenting programmes was made available.
Separately, following several months of engagement with various Government departments, and stakeholders leading on Family Hubs development, we had confirmation Triple P won the national contract to deliver Triple P for Baby, as parent of important work to support parent-infant relationships, across all 75 Family Hubs areas in England. The contract is worth over £700,000 and is in addition to the initial £50m available to providers of evidence-based parenting programmes.
PLMR’s crisis communications experience is second to none, and includes pre-emptive and reactive work across traditional and social media channels. We work with a range of organisations to offer critical communication support when they are faced with difficult and challenging scenarios.
