The Situation

Rushmoor Development Partnership, made up of developer Hill Residential and Rushmoor Borough Council, appointed PLMR to deliver a comprehensive consultation and engagement programme for a project to regenerate Farnborough town centre. The Farnborough Civic Quarter is a significant site within the town centre, which is looking to deliver around 1000 new homes, a new leisure centre, new Council Offices, transport hubs, green spaces, and play areas.

What we did

Snapdragon completed three rounds of consultation for this project over a three vear period to help build up a picture of what local residents and visitors to the town would like to see from the regeneration of the town centre.

Latest round of consultation comprised a virtual exhibition room, online survey, two in-person consultation events, and significant advertising to raise awareness. Around 470 responses were received from stakeholders.

The Result

Snapdragon completed a Statement of Community Involvement in November 2021. The application is due to be submitted to Rushmoor Borough Council over the coming months.
