The Situation

Haileybury is a leading independent co-educational boarding and day school based in Hertfordshire. The School was looking to further enhance its profile and showcase its excellent vision, ethos and practices across national and trade media.

What we did

We worked closely with the team at Haileybury, discussing a variety of innovations and initiatives taking place across the School as well as its views and stances on topical issues. From here, we used our knowledge of the media landscape to identify topics that would be appealing for both education trade media and national broadsheets and which also promoted the strength of the School.

Once the topics of sustainability and AI were agreed upon, we spoke with relevant experts at the School to gather information. We then crafted newsworthy pitches to proactively share with our media contacts as well as monitored the headlines for reactive commentary opportunities.

We then fully supported Haileybury with each piece we secured. This included securing interest from media, drafting insightful and compelling copy, preparing thorough briefings for interviews with national journalists, offering strategic advice on answering political and divisive questions and arranging the logistics of these opportunities.

The Result

To date we have secured for Haileybury a two-page feature in The Times on sustainability, both in print and online; print and online articles in The Times on AI and a Times Radio interview on AI.

Alongside this, we secured a range of trade coverage including both a feature on sustainability and a comment piece on AI in School House magazine, as well as a feature on sustainability in Independent School Parent.
