The Situation

Dengie is a leading equine food brand with a wide selection of horse feed products manufactured and sold UK-wide, catering for horses and ponies with differing dietary requirements and of all types, from leisure riding to high performance racers.

The company has a highly regarded brand and needed to ensure this was protected, along with its reputation, whatever the issue or eventuality. A comprehensive Crisis Communications Plan was therefore needed to be able to respond quickly and effectively.

What we did

Time was spent with the client to brainstorm a wide range of potential crises and issues. Based on these, a comprehensive Crisis Communications Plan was documented together with supporting materials. Media training was provided and test scenarios were played out.

The Result

Over some years, the Crisis Communications Plan was put into practice on a number of occasions with PLMR Genesis being on call 24/7 to provide support. By following the pre-set plan, a range of issues and crises were mitigated and managed.
