The Situation

Skills for Care and the University of York (UoY) are on a mission to improve recruitment processes in care. They developed a research-based quiz to help employers assess prospective employees at interview. However, they needed a way of digitalising this quiz, making it accessible to end-users and allowing UoY to collect further data.

What we did

PLMR built a bespoke digital tool for the quiz with custom branding, and a user-friendly landing page to give clear context to users. We illustrated and animated eleven character scenarios, giving the quiz a warm and friendly tone and allowing users to understand them more quickly.

Further to this, we produced supporting marketing assets including an animated explainer video, infographics, and digital marketing assets to help drive users to the landing page and quiz.

The Result

The platform has been a huge success, with hundreds of care recruiters using the tool to improve their recruitment processes every day. Further developments of the platform are underway, with the hope of rolling the platform out nationwide very soon.

Within two weeks of launching, we received the following feedback:

“We’ve had something of the order of 100 new care providers try out the platform, and I can see that it is already being used by a small handful of providers for actual recruitment of new candidates.

I have been in touch with a small number of providers, and the verbal feedback is very strong. One called it ‘game changing’ for their recruitment!”
