The Situation

County Broadband is an internet service provider which builds full-fibre broadband networks in rural villages. Funded by a multi-million-pound private investment, they work closely with communities to deliver some of the UK’s fastest internet speeds.

Increase County Broadband’s brand awareness in an increasingly competitive market and educate consumers about the benefits of full-fibre over a traditional connection. Engage with domestic and business customers to secure orders in support of County Broadband’s business growth and investment targets.

What we did

A ‘Get REAL Fibre’ campaign was launched, encompassing both PR and Digital channels, to generate excitement for County Broadband’s new full-fibre networks. Media relations activity highlighted key milestones in the build process alongside case studies of connected customers with families, businesses and remote workers sharing their first-hand experience. A Meta (Facebook/Instagram) campaign was launched to promote the benefits of County Broadband’s full-fibre service to target customers which focussed on four key themes: remote working, streaming, gaming and education. Seasonal competitions were also run throughout the year in connection with national events from ‘Football Full-Fibre’ for the World Cup to ‘Christmas Give Aways’.

The Result

Extensive positive media coverage for the ‘Get REAL Fibre’ campaign, including TV and Radio, which exceeded the client’s target by 80%. Increased traffic to County Broadband’s website by nearly 60% over 12 months and increased order/sales for the service. A ‘Hybrid working’ digital campaign, emphasising the benefits of full-fibre for working from home, delivered a Return on Ad Spend of 591%. As a result, County Broadband exceed its investment target and secured a second round of funding.
