The Situation

The Bett Show – the leading education event – takes place in January every year at ExCel London.

The exhibiting companies range from small, relatively unknown start-up companies, to education and technology giants like Google and Microsoft. Bett sought to further push the event as a highlight in the education calendar.

What we did

We work with the show organisers, speakers and exhibitors to raise the profile of the show, generate brand awareness for exhibitors and give educators a reason attend. The four-day event regularly attracts over 40,000 visitors and features over 700 exhibitors.

We work closely with all stakeholders and organisations to secure opportunities for promotion in trade press, to advise on self-promotion on a budget (for example, via social media and internal blogs), and to arrange meetings with journalists who may be looking for a company like theirs.

The Result

Mango at PLMR has managed the show’s PR for 15 years now.

We have achieved national coverage for the show and/ or exhibitors on BBC Click, BBC 4 and BBC Online, and in The Huffington Post, The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Evening Standard, as well as in all the key UK education trade publications including titles such as TES, SecEd and University Business.
