Anglia Cancer Network

How PLMR Genesis helped Anglia Cancer Network raise public awareness and education for specific types of cancer

Client

Anglia Cancer Network

The Situation

Anglia Cancer Network (now East of England Cancer Alliance) represents and coordinates activity across six regional Primary Care Trusts with the aim of improving outcomes for cancer, from raising public awareness and action, to delivering clinical pathways.

To raise public awareness and education for specific types of cancer, promoting early diagnosis and encouraging behaviour change so people present themselves to their GPs at an earlier stage, thereby improving outcomes.

What we did

Through an integrated approach, we devised and delivered large scale campaigns to maximise exposure of key messages across target audiences in the most cost effective way. Campaigns comprised a range of activity from PR and advertising, to digital promotion and point of use collateral.

The Result

In-depth pre- and post-market research showed a significant 39% uplift in awareness of the campaign’s messages, and those who recalled the campaign were 41% more likely to visit their doctor within a week of experiencing the warning signs.
