Mara joined PLMR as an Account Manager in January 2026 and supports a range of client accounts across the education sector, helping them achieve their organisational objectives through strategic, integrated communications.
Before joining PLMR, Mara gained a breadth of PR experience across health and consumer PR agencies, working with both UK-based and global clients providing day-to-day press offices, securing coverage across top tier national publications, supporting at brand events, and developing strong relationships with national, regional and trade media. She also spent a year in Birmingham, working as a Communications Intern for a sustainability and reforestation charity, supporting across all internal and external comms, as well as community, school and volunteer events.
With a passion for education and equality, Mara volunteered with Student Action for Refugees society, meeting weekly with a refugee partner to support with their language development over a six-month period, as well as with the Trussel Trust creating food boxes for those in need.
Prior to this, Mara achieved a BA Hons in English Literature and Italian from the University of Leeds. While at University, Mara volunteered with a pen pal scheme for the elderly people in the local area, corresponding regularly with her allocated partner and supporting at events.
