Patrick advises clients across a wide range of activities including strategic communications, public affairs and reputation management.
Patrick leads the energy and sustainability practice at PLMR, where his work has been fundamental to PLMR being recognised as the UK’s top Communications Agency by the Renewable Energy Association.
Patrick provides political and communications advice for clients ranging from innovative green start-ups to FTSE 100 giants, including securing national and international media coverage, engaging with government to support new renewable energy projects, and advising overseas businesses on strategy for UK market entry.
In health and social care, Patrick has helped to reform NHS employment guidelines around counselling, and advises one of the UK’s leading pharmaceutical manufacturers on Brexit strategy.
Patrick is also a reputation management expert, and has overseen a series of complicated communications operations including guiding a leading high-end social care provider through a high profile investigation by the Competition and Markets Authority, and overseeing the communications for an independent energy generator around a record fine from Ofgem.
Elsewhere, Patrick is also experienced in transport, food and drink and the third sector, where his client experience builds on a previous history working for and within charitable organisations.
Prior to joining PLMR, Patrick ran the UK office of the international development NGO Millennium Promise, which helped support 500,000 people in communities across Africa achieve the UN Millennium Development Goals.
Previously, Patrick was a researcher at KPMG International, where his work in the Corporate Citizenship department included leading the desk research on a flagship report for the World Economic Forum looking at the Future Role of Civil Society.
He holds a BA in Politics from the University of Nottingham and an MA with Distinction in Environment, Politics and Globalisation from King’s College London.
