PLMR is proud to produce the new education podcast series from the school trust sector body

A new education podcast has been launched by the Confederation of School Trusts in conjunction with PLMR.

Trust: the CST podcast, produced by PLMR will bring listeners regular expert insights, ideas and innovations from a variety of voices across the school trust sector and beyond.

Each episode will explore the big picture impacting on the school trust landscape, and therefore the wider education sector itself, within 20 minutes or less to help fit into trust leaders’ busy schedules.

CST is the sector body for school trusts in England, supporting and representing more than seventy per cent of the trust sector – meaning its members are responsible for the education of more than three million children and young people.

Episodes will span an array of themes, including: the latest policy and practice; matters of trust governance and executive leadership; and topics from finances to school improvement, accountability to safeguarding, workforce to mental health and more.

The introductory episode debuts today with CST’s Chief Executive Leora Cruddas CBE and Deputy Chief Executive Steve Rollett and PLMR’s Head of Education Tiffany Beck sharing an overview of what to expect as the series unfolds. This will be followed by special event episodes in October featuring the CST Annual Conference and a political party conference season round-up.

The series will then continue in January with regular episodes featuring experts across the school trust and wider education sector, giving their insights on the education landscape and wider public sector leadership.

Trust: the CST podcast, produced by PLMR is available to subscribe to on Spotify and other major podcast platforms, in addition to being available on the CST website.

Confederation of School Trusts Chief Executive Leora Cruddas CBE said: “The Confederation of School Trusts is thrilled to launch this new podcast series featuring trust leaders and other experts working as system leaders acting on the system, not just in the system. Education is facing a number of challenges, so this podcast series is a great opportunity to explore how we can shift the dial on some of the issues that we face, together. There are also great reasons for optimism in the sector and we look forward to highlighting these throughout the series. We will be tackling the issues of the moment and looking forward, thinking about what we can do to build an even better education system for children and young people.”

Confederation of School Trusts Deputy Chief Executive Steve Rollett said: “As the sector body for school trusts, CST is excited our podcast gives us both a new way to reach our members, who together educate more than three million children and young people, and the chance to reach the wider education sector and beyond as well. We are looking forward to talking about anything and everything that affects schools in the education landscape.”

PLMR Head of Education Tiffany Beck, said: “PLMR is delighted to produce CST’s important and timely new podcast series which will shine a light on how the school trust sector is innovating to bring solutions to some of the issues and challenges facing schools, making such a positive difference for millions of children and young people. We are proud of our longstanding partnership with CST and look forward to continuing to support this podcast and being part of the conversation.”
