PLMR Genesis responds to ever growing demand for services with seven new appointments

As PLMR Genesis continues to grow its client base and with the demand for all services consistently increasing, the company has welcomed seven new faces to their team. PLMR Genesis appoints four new team members to its PR and Communications team; Bernadette Mooney as Senior Account Manager, Karen Byrnand as Account Director, Laura Mitchell and Alex Mace as Account Executives. Alongside this, the company also appoints three new team members to their digital team; Dan Hobbs as Website Developer, Anna Rudd as Senior Digital Account Manager and Laura Holland as Digital Account Executive.

Bernadette Mooney comes to the company from the University of Suffolk where she spent nearly eight years as their Communications Manager. With a background in broadcast journalism, Bernadette enjoys speaking to people from all walks of life and sharing their stories to reach an organisation’s objectives and goals to create impact. Bernadette has been an Accredited PR Practitioner with the CIPR for the past 12 years and brings to PLMR Genesis, a wealth of experience across change communications, crisis communications, media training and event management. She has been the strategic communications and engagement lead for numerous projects working with multiple stakeholders including Public Health England on the pilot programme to roll-out of asymptomatic testing at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Karen Byrnand joins PLMR Genesis as an Account Director. Her expertise covers an array of skills with a proven track record across 20 years in developing B2B and B2C integrated marketing and communications strategies and commercial campaigns across a number of sectors, from Telecoms, Education, Retail, Public Sector and Professional Services. Karen has great aptitude in building and maintaining client relationships, possesses excellent planning and leadership abilities. Karen is a Member of Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), Member of Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) and a Member of CIPR. 

Laura Mitchell comes to PLMR Genesis on our Graduate training programme after recently completing her English Literature and Creative Writing degree at University of Suffolk. With previous experience from a customer service background and participating in a marketing and communications internship for a body-positive lingerie brand, Laura has some excellent knowledge of finding out exactly what it is that her target audience wants and needs. Her keen interest in writing engaging content and her natural flair for social media means that she hopes to be a brilliant addition to her client teams. 

Alex Mace joins the PLMR Genesis team from a music PR background having fulfilled exciting campaigns for the latest and greatest acts and artists – securing meaningful coverage on regional and national scales for names like Limahl from Kajagoogoo. He has also delved into other sectors including brands, charities and authors. With a keen eye for newsworthy hooks, his passion lies in finding and developing stories the media will care about to make a real difference to clients. With his future at PLMR Genesis ahead, Alex is excited to excel his PR experience and continue to hone his established skills alongside the team. 

Dan Hobbs comes to PLMR Genesis with a vast knowledge and skills in many creative specialisms such as graphic design, branding, video editing and animation. However, his main skillset lies within Web Design and Development after honing these within his previous roles as a Web Developer and IT Manager for multiple schools and creative agencies. Dan has extensive experience working with many different stakeholders across various projects, and a key priority for him is to always understand the user experience and journey when designing. 

Anna Rudd comes to the PLMR Genesis team with a vast amount of previous marketing experience. After graduating from Southampton Solent University in 2017 with a BA Honours in Journalism, Anna participated in some international teaching in China before starting her career in marketing. She began working for a complementary healthcare wholesaler in 2017, beginning her career as a Marketing Assistant before progressing to the role of Marketing Manager. Within this role, she managed all marketing activity, including traditional and digital marketing, communications, PR and events for a total of six B2B and B2C brands. Her specialist areas include website design/management, SEO strategies and conversion optimisation. Joining PLMR Genesis as a Senior Digital Account Manager, she is excited to work in a thriving and dynamic environment where she can work with like-minded individuals and provide her clients with excellent results. 

Laura Holland has joined the digital team at PLMR Genesis as a Digital Account Executive. With experience both in-house and agency style, Laura is confident in applying herself to any marketing discipline including social media management, content creation, SEO and, PPC. Laura is results driven and prides herself on exceeding client expectations by going above and beyond. With previous agency experience, Laura can work on many different client accounts, adapting to the tone of voice and style of each account. Prior to joining PLMR Genesis, Laura honed her skills into building brand awareness for her clientele through predominantly organic mediums.
