Charities set to be the winners

Advent clients will be raising thousands of pounds for charity next month in a series of endeavours.

Advent clients will be raising thousands of pounds for charity next month in a series of endeavours.

The Starley Sportive, backed by Deeley Group, takes place on September 19 with hundreds of cyclists departing from George House to complete one of three routes around the Warwickshire countryside to raise money for Myton Hospice, Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice and University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire Charity.

On the same morning, thousands of people will take part in the Wright Hassall Regency Run, which has now been a part of the Warwickshire calendar for 18 years. The event raises funds for local causes through organisers Leamington Round Table.

At the same time, Advent clients Shakespeare’s England will be on the water in Stratford in the annual Dragon Boat race. Its team – the Tempest Tamers – is made up of Shakespeare’s England staff, clients and friends and all will be clad in Advent-sponsored T-shirts. The event raises money for the Shakespeare Hospice.

Good luck, one and all!
