Genesis appoints new account director

We are delighted to start off the year with the significant announcement of Ali Straker appointed as account director.

Ali was previously Editorial Manager for the British Red Cross where she directed campaigns, led content development across digital assets and produced award winning publications. She has considerable experience and expertise in the digital sphere and is adept at introducing new technologies.

Prior to British Red Cross Ali was a Senior Communications and Marketing Officer at Islington Council where she created and executed multi-channel marketing campaigns, including for young audiences. She qualified as an NCTJ journalist and began her career working for Newsquest titles.

On her appointment, Ali said: “There are so many opportunities to take businesses to the next level with the right mix of digital, PR and marketing campaigns. I’m really looking forward to working with my talented colleagues to meet and exceed our clients’ expectations.”

Director Penny Arbuthnot said; “Ali is a great fit with our team and with the Genesis ethos to drive achievement for our clients in today’s digital world. She has made an immediate impact with clients in business, public and charity sectors and we are super excited to start the year with such a significant appointment.”

We recently became one of fewer than 100 PR agencies nationally to achieve the highest national industry accreditation, the Communications Management Standard (CMS). The CMS is awarded by industry body the Public Relations Consultants Association.

We provide intelligent solutions for clients in today’s digital world, including building and managing brand reputation and driving the achievement of defined business or organisational goals through an integrated, multi-channel approach to PR and marketing. This works with clients who are leaders and influencers in a variety of business, industry, public and charity sectors.
