Genesis team accomplish highest CPD targets

PR Account managers and account executives at Genesis have successfully completed the highest level of continued professional development programme (CPD) run by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), while members of the Genesis digital team continue to be at the forefront of digital marketing through ongoing training.

Members of the PR team, including the CIPR Accredited Practitioners, achieved the required 60 CPD points, with the majority achieving 90 points or higher. The points are achieved through webinar training, team coaching, professional reading and attendance at relevant events.

Penny Arbuthnot, director of Genesis, said: “Continued professional development is at the forefront of the Genesis culture and we run an internal training programme to complement individual learning. It motivates the team to continually develop their skills so we are the leading edge of PR for the digital world. Our digital marketing specialists meanwhile, are always furthering their skills and researching the latest developments to ensure our SEO, digital advertising and online optimisation services are the most advanced.”

Genesis was recently shortlisted in this year’s national CIPR Excellence Awards’ ‘Outstanding Small Public Relations Consultancy’ and ‘Outstanding Public Affairs Campaign’ categories. The winners will be revealed during an event in London in June.

Last year, Genesis was named Outstanding Public Relations Consultancy at the 2018 CIPR PRide Awards for the Anglia, Thames and Chiltern Regions, and took the top award for the Best Corporate and Business Communications Campaign.
