Five specialists at Ipswich-based PR and communications agency Genesis have been promoted to reflect their skills, experience, and commitment to the expanding firm.

Chloe Shelcott, Annabelle Rennie and Tim Miller have each been promoted to the role of PR Senior Account Manager.

Annabelle and Chloe, who joined Genesis in 2013, and Tim who joined in 2014 as PR Executives, manage a number of Genesis’ national and regional consumer and business-to-business clients, planning and delivering integrated PR and social media campaigns which continue to achieve excellent, and in some cases award-winning, results.

As Senior Account Managers, Annabelle, Chloe, and Tim will draw on their extensive expertise and knowledge to take a more strategic role in the success of their clients’ business and marketing goals.

Meanwhile, Alex Raymond has been promoted to Senior Digital Account Manager, specialising in SEO, website optimisation, digital and social media advertising. Since joining Genesis in 2015, Alex has expanded his skills in digital marketing to manage, support and develop a growing number of digital clients. He will now also take on a more strategic role within the business.

Joe Tye is the fifth member of the Genesis team to be promoted, moving to Account Manager level. Since joining Genesis in 2017, Joe has built his professional PR skills and he now works on a range of Genesis’ national consumer and business-to-business clients.

Penny Arbuthnot, Director at Genesis, says: “The hard work of our talented and growing team is second to none and we are so pleased to be able to recognise the achievements of Chloe, Annabelle, Tim, Alex and Joe in this way. They have all done exceptionally well in developing their skills and experience in PR and digital marketing with Genesis over a number of years and their promotions are greatly deserved.”

Genesis was recently shortlisted in this year’s national CIPR Excellence Awards’ ‘Outstanding Small Public Relations Consultancy’ and ‘Outstanding Public Affairs Campaign’ categories. The winners will be revealed during an event in London in June.

Last year, Genesis was named Outstanding Public Relations Consultancy at the 2018 CIPR PRide Awards for the Anglia, Thames and Chiltern Regions, and also took the top award for the Best Corporate and Business Communications Campaign and is the only PR agency in the East of England to be listed in PR Week’s Top 40 Agencies Outside London.
