Awards success

2017 was a memorable year for Advent Communications helping clients to success in major industry awards.

Fleur Sexton, managing director of training and education specialists PET-Xi Training, was crowned the Businesswoman of the Year 2017 and reached the Midlands shortlist in the Forward Ladies National Awards 2017 in the Corporate Leader category.

Her company was presented with the coveted Company of the Year title at the Coventry Telegraph Business Awards while Escape Live Coventry was named New Business of the Year on the same evening.

Data and information management specialists, the Comma Group, was shortlisted in the New Business of the Year category and one of its co-founders, Leigh Wells, was among the finalists in the New Entrepreneur of the Year section at the Lloyds Bank National Business Awards UK 2017. Comma was also a finalist in the 2017 NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards in the Scale-Up Entrepreneur of the Year award.

The Ricoh Arena also claimed a Special Award at this year’s Coventry and Warwickshire Culture and Tourism Awards, while Wasps Netball was named as Club of the Year at the Coventry and Warwickshire Sports Awards.

Manufacturer Sarginsons picked up the Green Award at the Coventry and Warwickshire SME Awards to cap a special year for the firm.

Members of the Advent team helped the businesses complete their application forms for the awards.
