Television fitness guru Mr Motivator held a mass keep fit session at a Coventry school after a Facebook video featuring his catchphrases and signature moves reached him at his home in Jamaica.

Derrick Evans, better known as 90s star Mr Motivator, visited Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School to hold a fitness class for the children.

Derrick’s visit came after the school, which is part of the Romero Catholic Academy, created a video to promote ‘keeping healthy’ starring seven-year-old Max Mahony as ‘Max the Motivator’.

The video, which was posted on Sacred Heart’s Facebook page, was seen by Derrick himself at his home in Jamaica and led to him contacting the school to meet some of his youngest fans.

Advent secured television coverage from ITV Central as well as coverage from local radio stations and newspapers.
