Advent backing #IamTeamGB

Team GB’s record breaking run of gold medals in Rio saw Britain climb to second in the medal table – and we’re looking forward to basking in the Olympic glory this weekend.

Coventry’s Ricoh Arena is one of only three national sports arenas, and the only Midlands location, to have been chosen as a host venue of I Am Team GB – a nationwide sports day which is being organised in conjunction with the National Lottery and ITV in a bid to get the UK active.

Gold medal winning canoeist Liam Heath and Olympic legend Dame Kelly Holmes will be heading to the Ricoh Arena on Saturday to greet fans and give expert advice. Sports fans will also be able to try 17 different sports at the festival.

As part of the I Am Team GB campaign, GB Olympians have been paying thanks to organisations and individuals for all their support by tweeting them directly through the National Lottery’s Twitter account.

Advent was delighted to receive a personal thank you video from swimming sensation Adam Peaty!
