GO TEAM GO! PLMR TO RACE FOR CHARITIES

We are excited to announce that the PLMR team is taking part in this year’s London Virgin Triathlon on September 23rd.

Rebecca NewsomRos TrinickTim Knight and Kevin Craig will be running, swimming and cycling in support of Trinity Hospice and Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The challenging triathlon route will take these four gung-ho PLMRers from ExCeL in East London to central London and back, and includes a formidable 1500 swim at the Royal Victoria Docklands, a 40 km cycle around Westminster and a 10 km run to Tower Bridge.

PLMR is proud to be supporting two charities that are very close to our hearts: Mare Curie Cancer Care and Trinity Hospice. We have set the bar high with a fundraising target of £3,000 and your donation can really help us achieve and hopefully smash this goal.

Marie Curie Hospices operate across the UK and offer free specialist care for people with terminal cancer and other illnesses, as well as support for their families. The charity conducts palliative care research to find better ways of caring for terminally ill people and also funds research into the causes and treatments of cancer. In 2010-11, they reached 31,799 patients through a network of 2,000 nurses.

PLMR is also delighted to be raising money for Trinity Hospice. Founded in 1891, Trinity Hospice is the oldest hospice in the UK and provides free care for people with advanced illnesses within their homes or at the hospice. Trinity supports them living every moment and achieving the best possible quality of life. They services are available to a population of ¾ million people in central and southwest London and provide invaluable support over 2,000 people a year.

To make a donation to these fantastic charities please visit our JustGiving page: http://www.justgiving.com/teams/plmr

Once you donate, your money will be sent directly to the charities – please do make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

Thanks for your support and look forward to seeing you out on Sunday 23rd September to cheer us on!

Ros, Tim, Rebecca and Kevin
