PLMR’S ELIN TWIGGE ELECTED VICE-CHAIR OF PRCA PUBLIC AFFAIRS GROUP

PLMR are delighted to announce that Account Director, Elin Twigge, has been elected to serve as the Vice-Chair of the Public Relations Consultant Association (PRCA) Public Affairs

Elin, who was shortlisted as a Rising Star in the Public Affairs News Awards last year, has been elected alongside the new Chair Emily Wallace, Operations Director at Connect Communications.

Elin and Emily will work together to raise the profile of the sector in the next two years, with the next Public Affairs Group meeting taking place on the 8th June 2012.

Speaking about her appointment, Elin said:

“It is a very important year for the sector and it is vital that the views of PRCA members are well represented.

“Working closely with the Chair, I will ensure that the PRCA Public Affairs Group continues to share best practice and create unrivalled training and networking opportunities for its members.”

The new Chair of the Group, Emily Wallace said:

“I’m delighted to take up the position of Chairman of the PRCA Public Affairs group at what is an important time for the industry. I am proud of what we do, clear about the value we add, and keen to play my part in standing up for the sector.”

Francis Ingham, PRCA Chief Executive said:

“I am extremely grateful to the previous Chairman, Darren Caplan for all the tireless work he conducted during an extremely busy period.

“This is a pivotal time for public affairs, and I welcome the dual experience of both Emily and Elin. I know both are very keen for the group to work as a forum for discussion to: promote best practice; ensure high ethical standards; and push for a greater understanding of public affairs”.
