Dominic Moffitt is an Associate Director in PLMR’s Public Affairs practice, helping clients win support and make progress with policymakers and stakeholders, while managing political risk. He brings sixteen years of hands-on political and communications experience, including more than a decade in Parliament working for multiple Labour MPs, as well as senior roles on national and local campaigns and advising during a UK-wide referendum, alongside delivering international training on political processes, and reporting on democracy building.
Dominic specialises in political strategy, campaigns, and messaging, turning complex policy into clear, persuasive narratives for decision-makers, the media, and the public. He is particularly experienced in healthcare, environmental regulation, housing, AI, and local government finance. He has a strong understanding of how planning, delivery, and political accountability intersect, and is known for building coalitions and relationships across the political spectrum.
Alongside his consultancy work, Dominic is an elected Labour councillor, giving him first-hand insight into local delivery pressures and the practical realities that shape decision-making. A regular television and radio commentator, he combines sound political judgement, a strong network across Westminster and local government, and a practical campaigning mindset to help organisations move quickly and communicate clearly when scrutiny is high.
