PLMR shortlisted as Best Agency in UK in top communications awards

PLMR is delighted to have been shortlisted in the ‘Best Agency’ category at the CovidComms Awards, which this year has been specifically themed by organisers CorpComms to acknowledge outstanding work through the pandemic.

The judges’ nomination of PLMR follows the superb communications work that the company’s consultants have provided to support clients on the frontline of the crisis, including care homes and schools. Some of our stand-out achievements included:

  • Acting as the pro bono media partner of StarLine, a free national parent helpline established by a leading academy trust to help manage families’ anxiety, stress and home learning through lockdown, and securing a partnership with Mumsnet.
  • Bringing double Olympic gold medallist Daley Thompson to living rooms across the nation, first through an online daily fitness class and then with Virgin Media TV in a partnership that reached more than 200,000 people.
  • Supporting more than 800 social care services with their internal and stakeholder communications and providing media advice during a period when care providers found themselves navigating changing Government advice and were the subject of significant scrutiny from the media.
  • Providing communications to Oak National Academy, the Government-backed online classroom.

Ollie Lane, Managing Director at PLMR, said: “We are incredibly proud of this shortlisting, which is a reflection of the superb work that consultants across the business have provided to dozens of organisations and individuals across numerous sectors during this unprecedented period.”

Winners are due to be announced on 18th November in a virtual ceremony.
