Rhea is doing a month-long internship at PLMR London which she secured through the Taylor Bennett Foundation, a charity that helps BAME graduates pursue careers within the Communications industry.
Currently going into her third year studying History at the University of Cambridge, Rhea has had previous experience working on Public Relations for several student societies, as well as in designing graphics and visual media to advertise them.
At PLMR Genesis, Rhea took the opportunity to chat to the team, get a better idea of the services that they offer and to take a look at some of the brilliant work that they are doing for their clients. Specifically, Rhea noted the range of expertise in the digital team.
Rhea said: “I was so interested to learn about the types of work the digital team do in terms of monitoring the success of advertising campaigns and ensuring that their clients are getting the best possible service.”
With PLMR Genesis running their very own Graduate Training programme, Rhea observed how offering interns’ days like this where they could get a further understanding of the PR and Communications industry operated was so helpful. This is because it would allow them to consider their options further in a completely no-pressure environment before further embarking into Communications as part of their career.
Rhea also commented on PLMR as an agency, saying: “I really like PLMR’s ethos as a company, they place a huge emphasis on taking on clients who are looking to promote a cause that will help the general community. It’s an aspect that I always wanted to be part of my future career.”
