As PLMR Genesis continues to expand to meet continued client growth and demand for digital marketing services, the company has welcomed new Senior Digital Account Manager, Laura Deakin.

Laura has extensive experience in SEO, PPC, Google Analytics, Content Marketing, CRO, and Social Media Management. She joins from the Quadram Institute, a cutting-edge bioscience research centre specialising in food science and gut health, based at the renowned Norwich Research Park.

Previous to the Quadram Institute, she was part of the central Digital Innovation Team at the University of East Anglia (UEA), managing the University’s social media channels and digital content strategy. She has also worked on digital marketing, event management, and social and influencer management at the Good Spa Guide.

Laura is a CIPR Accredited PR Practitioner, a hallmark of best practice in PR. In 2020, she was awarded a Distinction in the degree of Master of Arts (MA) in Media and Cultural Politics and achieved outstanding marks amongst her cohort. She was also awarded a First for the degree of Bachelor of Arts in History (with Honours) in 2015.

Her talent in digital marketing and content management has been recognised with two individual awards. In 2021, she won Silver in the ‘Outstanding Young Communicator of the Year’ category at the CIPR PRide Awards 2021: Anglia, Thames, and Chiltern.

At the HEIST Awards 2020, a national celebration of marketing excellence in the Higher Education (HE) and Further Education (FE), Laura won Silver in the CIM ‘Rising Star’ category.

The judges noted that Laura is “an incredible role model who drives excellent results and always strives to innovate on existing models… she is undoubtably a huge asset to the team.”
