‘You’re Welcome’ – English Tourism Week 2022

During English Tourism Week Advent invited Warwickshire MPs to visit Shakespeare’s England venues and attractions reopening for summer.

Nadhim Zahawi, MP for Stratford-upon-Avon, was joined by Nick de Bois, chairman of VisitEngland’s Advisory Board and Shakespeare’s England CEO Helen Peters at Shakespeare’s Schoolroom and Guildhall, located in the heart of this historic market town, which reopens on Friday April 1.

Jeremy Wright – MP for Kenilworth and Southam – met with staff at the Holiday Inn in Kenilworth which has reopened after supporting the Government’s Covid efforts in accommodating families in need during the pandemic.

And Matt Western, MP for Warwick and Leamington Spa, tried his hand at bowls in Leamington Spa ahead of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.

‘You’re Welcome’ was the national theme of VisitBritain’s English Tourism Week (March 18 – 27) this year, sending a message that England’s tourism industry is ready to welcome visitors. Advent has secured a range of local and regional news coverage.
