Louise Bennett stepping down

It was announced lastmonth that Louise Bennett OBE DL will leave her post as chief executive of the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce towards the end of 2022 after nearly 20 years leading the organisation.

Throughout that period, Advent Communications has been the Chamber’s press and PR agency with Louise describing the company as “like having your own in-house, autonomous team that understands the business.”

Louise’s decision to step down was covered across a range of regional media and sparked a massive response on social media.

In 2007, Louise was awarded the OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List for her services to business and more recently became the Deputy Lieutenant of the West Midlands. In 2021, Louise was appointed High Sheriff of the County of the West Midlands.
