Global Peace Forum gains national coverage

The seventh RISING Global Peace Forum took place in Coventry earlier this month with significant media interest in the keynote speakers over the three days.

As part of our PR campaign, we brought Sky News, BBC TV and radio, and Free Radio to the city to interview key note speakers — The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, and Sabir Zazai, the chief executive of the Scottish Refugee Council.

We also secured coverage of other guest speakers in the Telegraph, the Independent, the Guardian, the Church Times, and many local and regional titles.

RISING is a three-way partnership between Coventry University’s Centre for Trust, Peace and Social Relations, Coventry Cathedral and Coventry City Council. It’s a vital part of the city’s unique peace and reconciliation status.
