Advent Communications signed off 2021 with a double appointment after a landmark year for the company.

Advent was bought by PLMR, which is headquartered in Westminster, in October after more than 20 years in business.

And it will move into 2022 with two new members of the team after hiring former Reach journalist Tom Davis as an account manager and Tom Howell as a graduate account executive.

Davis spent ten years in journalism and was most recently a Local Democracy Reporter in our region while Howell, formerly an intern with the company, recently completed a Master’s Degree at the University of Warwick.

Advent director Lee Corden said: “It’s great to have both Toms on board as we enter into a very exciting period for the business.

“Tom Howell made a real impression as an intern and it’s great that we have been able to maintain that relationship and bring him back to the company as a permanent member of the team.
“Most of us at Advent had dealt with Tom Davis as a journalist and knew that he would be a great addition as we look to continue to grow.”
