PLMR’s high-end CPD programme continues as consultants attend Oxford business school courses

Communications agency PLMR has selected 16 of its senior consultants to attend world-leading executive education at Saïd Business School, part of the University of Oxford.

The consultants are taking an open course, either a programme focused on disruptive strategies and digital marketing or a new programme specifically designed for those working in leading professional services firms.

Oxford’s open courses were ranked second in the world in the most recent league tables compiled by the Financial Times.

Ollie Lane, Managing Director of PLMR, said:

“The pandemic is not a reason not to provide staff with the very best professional development opportunities – in fact we believe that it is more important now than ever that firms do.

“In recent years we have sent staff on courses at Harvard Business School, while we have also designed our own bespoke training courses, one for entry-level colleagues and another on leadership and political communications with modules delivered by Downing Street speech writers, special advisers and leading political journalists.

“The Saïd offer – training at one of the world’s great business schools – is again something genuinely different that we are doing to invest in our brilliant staff so that they can keep progressing their careers and growing their knowledge and skills.”

Caroline Williams, director, Open Programmes at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School, said:

“We are delighted to be welcoming PLMR colleagues into our online community. Our faculty are committed to building multi-disciplinary experiences for peers who enrich sessions with their breadth of experiences as they embark on a journey together.”

PLMR’s upward trajectory has continued over the last 12 months in spite of the Covid-19 crisis. As well as maintaining strong growth, in October PLMR became the first communications consultancy ever to win HealthInvestor’s ‘Strategic Consultants of the Year’ award and was shortlisted as ‘Agency of the Year’ at the 2020 CorpComms Awards.
