Chris Smith has joined Advent Communications after two years working in media relations for the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Prior to that, he spent 20 years in journalism, and has a wealth of contacts in the public and private sector, and at regional, national and international media outlets.

Adam Dent, Advent’s MD, said: “Chris is a familiar face for most of us here as we’ve worked with him over a number of years in his various roles, so we’re delighted to welcome him to the team and know our clients will benefit from his experience and contacts.”
